The busiest bee of all

Once upon a time I was able to keep a blog, that was nice for me.

After working over the summer back in Yorkshire I've moved into an adorable flat in North London. I've done loads of good stuff in the summer but nothing of any interest to anyone but me, except this illustration I did for a friend which I think is really cute, the water colours haven't scanned very well though.

I won't be getting the nightbus home this weekend because I have all the deadlines in the world. Theres nothing more strange (or stupid) than meeting people on the nightbus! Watch this teenage witch style video Vice sent me.

Little fish in a big pond

I've finally made the big move to London and I'm sat in my very tiny (but very homey) room at four in the morning purely because this is the only time I can get online (the Internet here has been so far absolutely shocking) hopefully when the server has a word with itself I'll be back to blogging. 

I really miss writing on here, sorry it's been so long but I'll be back as soon as I can I promise!

I saw a bag in Camden the other day with this print on by Vladimir Tretchikoff:

When I was very young we used to have this picture at my parent's house, It was above the freezer in the cellar and I was absolutely terrified of her because her eyes followed me across the room. My dad bought it for his mum with his very first pay check. I'm not sure why it ended up in my house, perhaps my grandma was terrified of her too. I haven't seen it in my parent's house for a few years but I really hope they haven't chucked it out!

I love that sea foam green undertone and the interesting textures that pop up in all of these images. The subjects are so interesting to look at too, particularly the jewellery they're wearing.

Diesel - BE STUPID campaign

Love it or hate it any self respecting hipster fashionista will recognise the Diesel BE STUPID campaign from a mile off. Personally I really love it! I think it's such a fun, clever idea.

The idea is based around that one sentence that makes your passion seem ridiculous and can crush your hopes and dreams, moreso if it comes from your mother. 'Don't be stupid'.

The idea is basically to stop thinking so much and just do it, whatever 'it' may be. It's the thought that trying to think smart limits your thinking because it caps your imagination. Watch it, embrace it, do it.

The Vintage Skeleton

I found this really amazing tumblr last night and I spent about an hour trawling through all the pages. I'm so rubbish at graphic design, my work's too messy, but I love looking at it.

I've never bought anything from etsy but I've spent so many lazy days looking through everything, I think it's a really inspiring website to peruse for all kind of crafty idea's. Here's some stuff I've found today.

The thought of making someone a cup of tea and them finding a teeny frog peering up at them really tickled me.

maaaan I LOVE cameo's so bad, I have about 15, my favourite is a beautiful shiny black and gun metal silver rose one my boyfriend got me when we started dating. This one makes my stomach go all twisty cause I want it so bad!

I love bunting, it makes everything look so happy and pretty and festive, this one's made out of wood and is really cute and cheery, d'awwww!

Does Anyone Remember This?

I was sat around looking through my old Vogues when I found this shoot by Tim Walker that I meant to post about aaaages ago (such a naughty blogger) so I scanned it super fast just for you! 

The shoot was around the time us Brits were flapping about the recession (swine flu soon took over our minds) and takes a really quirky look at the theme of make do and mend using stuff you'd find in your kitchen.

It's such a lovely shoot, if I wasn't so boisterous and clumsy I'd love to wear the teacup earmuffs!
